We will not serve other idols but God!

NIV Daniel 3:18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.

After finishing the last supper with His disciples, Jesus predicted Peter's denial. At first, Peter did not believe he will disown Jesus, but in NIV Mark 14:71 "He began to call down curses, and he swore to them, I don't know this man you're talking about.", Peter disowned Jesus completely. As a Christian, have you ever tried to kept silent or denied God under specific circumstances? Is it in your workplace? Or are you with your best friends? Maybe you are facing the crowd that has different religious beliefs? In any case, your denial shows your lack of faith in God and disbelief.

Under Nebuchadnezzar's rule, Daniel and his two friends were accused of not worshiping the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. When facing the life crisis, the three guys are brave and hold fast to God's words. NIV Daniel 3:18 "But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up." They refused to worship other fake gods and asserted in front of Nebuchadnezzar. Their strong faith and commitment to God provided a way out to them when others thought that it was the end of the day for them, God saved them!

Father, thank you for saving us from dangers from time to time. Take away our stress and struggles when we are facing a life crisis and difficulties. Deeply root our faith in you and help us to stay focus on you. Amen!
