In old testament, God has forbidden Israelite from marrying foreign wives, but the once wise and faithful King- Solomon has ignited God's anger by marrying foreign wives and committing idolatry. We can see the whole story in NIV 1 King 11, today we will look at NIV Ephesians 5:11-12 "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret." God's standard is higher than we think, we used to tell ourselves not to sin against God, but what God requires us to do is to help save the sinners around us by punishing their wrongful actions.

God is merciful, He does not want to see His people being led astray by the "foreign wives", so He forbids people from multi-ethnic marriage in the old days. Therefore, when we see other people sinning against God, we should stop them from doing it and lead them repent to God for their sins. We will also be guilty if we watch the sinners to continue sinning against God and keep silent.

Father in heaven, thank you for giving us freedom in lives. All your commands and words are for our own good, thanks for protecting us all the time. Let us obey your instructions and help other to repent for their sins. In Jesus' name, Amen!
