Change! Life is change, but is it easy for a person to change? Well, having said that you can't change other people, what you can do is only to influence other people. Indeed, only God can change a person! NIV Ezekiel 36:26 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you, I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." When we admitted God as our savior, God put a new spirit in us and renew our heart.
Peter used to swear a lot and curse other people when he was angry. But after his wife invited him to join a church sermon and pray for him. Peter started to change, he will hold his temper when someone pissed him off and consider others feelings in lieu of cursing his enemies. What a blessing it is! Not his wife or the pastor changed Peter, but God.
Heavenly father, thank you for giving us a new heart and spirit when we admit you as our one and the only savior. Lord, help us to have a gentle heart and be good to others, we need a change! Guide us to have a righteous life and develop good habits from today. Amen!
