The tongue has the power of life and death!

NIV Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

If I tell you positive thinking can help heal the illness, will you believe it? Research shows that a negative attitude can increase your stress level and hence harm your body and mind. What we think control what we speak, when we have a negative attitude, we will always say something bad. People tend to enjoy hanging around with positive people because they can empower others by influencing them with their energetic outlook.

In NIV Proverbs 18:21 "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." We can choose what to say- whether we should encourage others by giving them praise or we should irritate others by making fun of them. Not only our health can be affected by what we speak, but also it can empower others or hurt their feelings. We need to control our tongue by purifying our thoughts. Read the bible every day and learn from Jesus!

Father, thank you for giving us freedom of speech. We can say whatever we want but do help us to control our tongue because what we speak can either help or hurt others and ourselves. We need the wisdom from you to say something beneficial to others. Amen!
