The Power of Honesty!

“Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.”—NIV Ephesians 4:25

What make you feel secured today? Money? Social status? Relationship?  Health? or Trust in God?

Once I was lost, but I am found! I used to trust in God and had strong faith in God is in control, but God know me better than I do! I can stay with God when things are going well into my way, but when storm comes, my "faith" crushed into brokeness in life. I started to predict my future everyday as I was not sure what would happen in my life and what was causing me stumble. I forgot about how to live a normal life, eat, drink and sleep seems not possible to me when insecurity swallowed me up.

I used every way to secure my social status, earn enough money to enjoy the better off lives and become obessed on relationship and looking forward to someone who can protect me. I used to be honest and open to others, but betrayal and trials push me to defensive to othes. Everyday and night, the negative thoughts will beat me up and it seems to me I couldn't rely on anything. I listened to people's advice, not to share, not to talk and mask on and off, but all of these advice making the things total wrong.

Not until the day, God came in and completed broke me. Hopefully, one day I can become a better me and like the NIV Ephesians 4:25 said: "Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body."

Today, take the first step to repent and ask for God's forgiveness, once we can forgive ourselves and not repeat the sins, we can start to trust others and take a further step to live a normal life. No one is bad, but since we are too weak to sin, we don't have enough power to withstand temptation and make others bad persons. Using God's loving and merceful lense to see things and don't jugde others can bring us back to Christ! Amen!

God: My love will bring you home!

Acts 3:19 (NIV): “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”

Really like Laura Story's song - Grace. My heart is so proud, my eyes are so unfocused. I see the things You do through me as great things I have done. And now You gently break me. Then lovingly You take me. And hold me as my Father. And mold me as my Maker. I ask You "How many times will You pick me up when I keep on letting You down?" And each time I will fall short of Your glory. How far will forgiveness abound? And You answer: "My child, I love you And as long as you're seeking My face. You'll walk in the power of My daily sufficient grace."

I couldn't remembr how far I left God behind through these two years and why I became bitterness and went astray from God. On the face of it, I am normal, go to worship and read bible, share with others. But behind the scenes, I couldn't remember how dark the things that I am doing. Not until the point, the behind the scene things were brought in front of others. The shamefulness and guilt in my heart were big enough to swallow me up, but God is really good, He sent many angels around me and start to bring me back.

But did I really repent from my sins? Anxious and worries still hitting me up. "What is your definition of "Hope"?" actually is what God wants to ask me but I just leave the signal behind and drilled into infinite fantansy of illusion.  Stupid me! It reminded me of the course "Hope exploration", even though there seems no way, if we stay in faith, God will make a way. Hope is in Jesus! Hope is in God! Hope is one of the gifts that God sent to us! Faith, love, Hope build a strong foundation in Christianity, without any one of it, we will face the trial and stumble again!

Storm is not horrible, darkness is not horrible, but sin is really horrible! It will slowly crawling up until you lost sight of God! NIV: Acts 3:19 "Repent! then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord" No more faking, no more denial, honesty and love are the key for repent. Spreading love instead of fighting against our own "righteousness"- remember God's righteousness is always the one we are seeking and not our own "thinking".

I don't know if I will fall into the trap of bitterness and hartress again or not. But I choose to seek God's forgiveness and walk with Jesus again! Stay tuned in 2nd quarter of 2026. I am sure God's love can always bring us back! In Jesus' name, Amen!

Day 1:You’re Not Too Sensitive. You’re Just Waking Up.

Sometimes people speak nicely on the surface,
but after talking to them, your heart feels…
messy. heavy. wrong. confused.

You ask yourself:

“Is it just me?”
“Am I being too sensitive again?”
“Why do I feel small every time after this?”

Let’s get this straight today:
You’re not too sensitive. You’re discerning.
And confusion is not from God.

1 Corinthians 14:33 (NIV)
“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.”

When people use sweet words but leave behind chaos in your spirit,
when they twist facts, guilt-trip you, or make you second-guess your worth—
you are not the problem.
They are not walking in truth.

God doesn’t use confusion to control us.
His voice brings peace.
His presence brings clarity.
Even when God convicts us, He never condemns us.

This 40-day detox isn’t about blaming others.
It’s about gently untangling your heart from emotional control,
and returning to the voice of truth—God’s voice.
You deserve peace. And you were made to walk in it.
Let’s start there.

 Reflect:

  • Is there someone or something lately that’s been making you feel constantly anxious or “off”?

  • What would Jesus say to you right now, if He were sitting beside you?

Prayer:

Jesus,
I’ve let too many voices speak into me that aren’t from You.
Cleanse my heart from confusion.
Help me recognise Your peace and walk away from manipulation.
Today, I choose truth over guilt.
Peace over performance.
You over them.
Amen.

If today’s post speaks to you, you’re not alone.
Come with me—one step at a time—for the next 40 days.
Together, we’ll learn to live emotionally free and spiritually clear.

πŸ•Š️ Read. Reflect. Detox. Heal.
✨ You’re allowed to protect your peace.
