Being a faithful Christian is not easy and in NIV Matthew 16:24 "Then Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."
There will be rough roads ahead and we may have doubt in truth time after time, but if we have strong faith in Christ, we will take up our cross and walk with Him. NIV John 6:68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. " God is the only answers to all the doubts in lives.
Some people worship to different fake gods at the same time, they want to receive the blessings from the idols and avoid suffering from them. Well, I can at the end of day, they receive nothing from the so called idols or fake gods, because they are not real God. We may have similar thoughts along our journey of faith, we only love God's blessing and His unlimited providence to us, but we hate suffering for God. We can't bear the pain for a second and we seek God and cry for His help whenever we encounter problems in lives. In order to walk the talk as a Christian who trust in God, we really need God's help to take up our cross and follow Jesus.
Dear heavenly father, thank you for your love and faith on us. Thank you for sending Jesus to the world and sacrifice Himself for our sins, we now repent to you and seek your help to take up our cross and follow Jesus, in your Holy son's victorious name, Amen!
