Love is patient, love is kind.

NIV 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

 

It has been written on the scriptures that among faith, hope and love, the greatest is love. And there are four types of love in Greek: Agape-God's unconditional love for human, Philia- love between friends, Storge-the love of affection and empathy and Eros-sexual love. Paul has explained Agape in NIV 1 Corinthians 13:4 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud."

Godly love is Holy but actionable.  God created us and provided everything we need to live, even though we sin against Him, He will wait for our repent patiently. He is almighty and powerful but He never boasts Himself for what He has done for us. We should all learn how to love from God as He loves us first. 

Father, thank you for your love so that we can learn how to love ourselves and others. Help us to have the "Agape" mindset towards you and others. In Jesus' name, Amen!
