Do not fall into the worldly success trap in life.

NIV James 4:4 You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

How would you define success? Will you use the worldly standard: money, fame, and power to measure your life? Or you will look at your life in the same way as God? James reminded us that we can't indulge in worldly stuff and serve God at the same time, he said in NIV James 4:4 "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God."

We should live our life with Godly wisdom and hope for the future in eternity instead of spending lots of time chasing the so-called "tangible success" in the world. We should pay attention to God's words through bible study, church sermon, and group sharing. When we start to spend time on Godly stuff, we will get to know Him better and understand what is His will and plans on us.

Lord, thank you for reminding us not to chase for worldly success but Godly success. Deepen our knowledge on you so that we can maintain a close relationship with you and follow your commands. Amen!
