God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son!

NIV 1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

In Jesus Christ, we have the promise of eternal life. Before Him, the disciples are baptized with water, because of Jesus' resurrection, we are now baptized with the Holy Spirit. When we believe the testimony God has given about His son Jesus, we are given eternal life and this life is in Jesus. As it was said in NIV 1 John 5:13 "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."

When we focus on the ultimate goal of earthly life-- to have eternal life with God in Heaven, we will be out of worry about the lack of material things. We will spend our time wisely on God's stuff instead of striving for worldly success, fame and power. We can live a carefree life in Jesus and enjoy the joy that God wants us to have. 

Father, thank you for your promise of eternal life. Help us to fix our eyes on Jesus' teaching and worry not about the difficulties we face in our lives. We prayed in His name, Amen!
