God set rainbow as the sign of covenant!

NIV Genesis 9:13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

The book of Genesis records the beginning of humans and the earth. God created everything including the sun, the moon, the stars, birds, and fishes step by step. Adam and Eve were supposed to live in the Garden of Eden, but since they have sinned against God, they were expelled from Eden. People in Genesis kept sinning against God, God regretted that He had made human beings on the earth, and His heart was deeply troubled.

But God blessed the righteous man Noah and his family, He instructed Noah to build the ark and spared their life. He then established the covenant with all life on the earth. In NIV Genesis 9:13 "I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth." Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, God will remember His covenant with us. Next time when we see the rainbow in the sky, we will think of God who created the earth and everything in it.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your covenant with us and you have set the rainbow in the clouds to be the sign of the covenant. We know you will never forsake us and you are protecting us from time to time. Help us become your faithful servants and be humble in front of you. Amen!
