NIV Daniel 9:5 We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled, we have turned away from your commands and laws.
With the Holy Spirit dwell in us, there is always a little voice to remind us we have done something wrong. But it is not easy to confess our sin to God, we need the courage to do so. In ancient times, Daniel confessed of the sins and wicked actions for Jews.
NIV Daniel 9:5 "We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled, we have turned away from your commands and laws."
Daniel first acknowledged God's goodness and importance, then he further acknowledged God's unfading love and mercy on His people. Finally, he confessed the sin of the Jews as his own and asked God's forgiveness. What a great thing to do to confess the whole nation's sin as his own. Indeed, Daniel is a righteous man and he is loved by God much. We can see that he has been saved by God several times for his righteousness and faithfulness in God.
Father, thank you for sending numerous role models to born on the earth and writing their stories in the bible. We can see from them, how great you are and how merciful you are to your people. Let us love you wholeheartedly and refrain from sinning against you. We prayed in Jesus' Holy Name, Amen!
