NIV Ecclesiastes 4:4 And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person's envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
No matter how good or bad your lives are, you might still puzzle on what is the meaning of life? King Solomon observed many people in his life, he realized that if all toils and achievement bring jealousy between people, it is meaningless. NIV Ecclesiastes 4:4 "And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person's envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind."
This leads to a self-reflection of our attitudes towards life, are we the oppressors for others? Or do we often act as bystanders who always jealous of what others have? Despite what were we in the past, God commands us to love others as ourselves. Time for us to refresh and change our lives. Remember that we are just one of the numerous creations from God, we have no right to judge, criticize, or oppress others coz we are sinners who are indifferent from others.
Lord, thank you for your love for us. We know that you love us before we know you. Give us the strength and courage to work out your command of "Love your neighbor as yourself". We prayed in Jesus' name Amen!
