"He must do something wrong coz he used to be a bad guy." Kathy said to me, we are talking about her colleague Jason. Have you ever judge others according to something they have done or merely on their past records? I think all of us have done that consciously or unconsciously before.
In Romans 14:13 "Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.", scriptures tell us not to judge others. Paul talks about the immature and mature Christians, asking the mature one should be judge and put any stumbling block or obstacle to the immature one. But here, I just wanna say in any case we should not judge as we are not the judge from heaven- God, our human wisdom can't provide righteous conclusions all the time.
See NIV Matthew 7:1 : Do not judge, or you too will be judged. As a human being, we will have bias or stereotypes towards different people. If we make judgement on others, we can be wrong all the time. Be aware of what we think in our mind, even though no one will know, God sees it through.
Our father in heaven, thanks for letting us to have fellowship in church and in our community. Please forgive us if we have judged our brothers and sisters before, we know that only you are the judge in this world. Let us have your wisdom today to walk in the right direction you want us to go. In His Holy name, amen!
