Do you know Jesus is our mediator under the new covenant? Through Him, our sins are forgiven by God and we can pray to God via Him. Jesus taught us how to pray in NIV Luke 11:2-4 "Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us, and lead us not into temptation." Because of Jesus Christ, we can now access to our Father in Heaven, we can pray to Him through Jesus.
Indeed, we should act like Jesus instead of merely knowing who Jesus is, we should walk the talk, taking actions against what we learnt from Jesus from the scripture to glorify our Father's name. In NIV John 14:7 "If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." When we acknowledge Jesus Christ as our savior, we are also admitting God as our one and the only one God.
Father, thanks for saving us through Jesus Christ, your precious son. Guide us and lead us to be more like Him, give us strength and wisdom from you so that we can fulfill our purpose in life. In His name, Amen!
