but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
You are not alone, when you feel lonely, who will you turn to? Is your best friend on the earth a reliable and trustworthy one? How do you know if they aren't? Proverbs 18:24 "One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother" tells us that we already have a close friend with us second by second and day by day. He is Jesus Christ.
In NIV John 15:15 "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." Jesus made it clear, He wants be a friend with us. We can share our happiness, sadness and worries with Him and He will listen to us and save us from the pain even though we can't see Him physically. He is with us all the time and He is our faithful friend.
Father, thanks for sending Jesus to the earth 2020 years ago. Thanks for letting Him to be a close friend with us, give us Godly wisdom so that we will not fool against our faithful friend Jesus Christ. Forgive us if we did not trust in Him before. We prayed in your son's Holy name. Amen!
