God loves us!

NIV Job 5:17 Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.

Job's story is not a typical fairy tale type story, he is a faithful and righteous man that experiences God's mercy after suffering from a series of mysterious events.

NIV Job 5:17 Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. Eliphaz told Job that God will discipline those He loves, so Job should be happy for his sufferings and repent. Eliphaz wanted Job to get out of the plight as soon as possible. He thought that as long as Job turned his head, he would be very calm immediately, so he kept persuading Job. But what he said does not apply to Job's case, it can comfort those suffer for their sins.

Lord, thank you for your words and teaching. Give us Godly wisdom and seek you first when we face challenges in our lives. Help us not to use human solutions or our experience to judge and help others when they are sad. Amen!
