NIV Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Starting from Adam and Eve, sin has been lingering around us in every means. We have the tendency to escape from our own responsibilities by blaming others. Adam blamed Eve for giving him the apple to eat, Esau blamed Jacob for deceiving him and some of us blamed our parents for not giving us the best when we are born.

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Self-pride and arrogance should not be our excuse to sin, and indeed sin can blind us if we don't realize it and repent to God.
Father Lord, thank you for giving us so many testimonies and witnesses of how graceful and merciful you are in the past. Help us be alert to our sins and repent to you. We prayed in Jesus' Holy Name, Amen!
