NIV Titus 3:5 He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
When we were small, we studied hard to earn our parent's favor. When we grew up, we strived hard to earn a living. When we became old, we tried every method to extend our longevity. But what if God tells us that our salvation comes from His mercy and grace on us, not from what we earn? Will you still chase for worldly success?

Jesus saved us by sacrificing Himself on the cross, and before He ascended to Heaven, He told the disciples that everyone will be cleansed by the Holy Spirit instead of baptized with water after His resurrection.
Father, thank you for sending Jesus as our savior. We don't deserve your love as we sin against you repeatedly. Thanks for your mercy and grace on us, we are now cleansed by the Holy Spirit. Help us obey the Holy Spirit's instructions and walk with Jesus in life. Amen!
