Wait for the gift our Heavenly Father promised!

NIV Acts 1:4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command; "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about."

Living in a hustle and bustle city, I know many of us hate waiting coz we are busy at working, taking care of our family and keeping ourselves healthy everyday. We don't have enough time to do all the things we want as technology created lots of entertainment and convenience for our lives but at the same time it took away much things from us.

Well, I can tell the hardest time for waiting is when we think God is away from us, we can't see or hear anything from God, we are anxious coz we need God's guidance on what to do next and we are afraid of making a wrong decision and suffer.
NIV Acts 1:4  "On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command; Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about." told us even though the current situation and our own knowledge and experience said the apostles should leave Jerusalem and go to other places to preach God's Gospel, Jesus asked them to stay and wait for Holy Spirit to baptize them.

Father, thank you for your grace and mercy on us. Give us patience and wisdom from you while waiting for your gift to come, father, we trust in your good plan on us. Guide and lead us to make the right decision. In your son's name, Amen.
