NIV Proverbs 4:23 "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Why it is our heart, not other part of our body we need to maintain the ownership of? NIV Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick, who can understand it?" We can see that our heart control our actions, we need to control our heart to avoid committing sins.
NIV Jeremiah 29:13 "You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart." Our heart is like a vessel, if it is filled with worry, anxiety and anger, then we will lose the pure heart to worship God. Keep our heart clean and Holy, do not carry the things from devils' scheme.
Lord, thank you for letting Holy Spirit to dwell in us. Help us to keep our heart so that evil has no room to temp us against us.
