God has its own plan and time on us.

NIV 2 Peter 3:8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 

God has its timing for everything, in Genesis 1:1-2, God created light on day 1, Atmosphere on Day 2, Dry ground and plants on Day 3, Sun, moon and stars on Day 4, birds and sea animals on Day 5, Land animals and humans on Day 6 and He determined Day 7 to be "The Sabbath of rest". He has a complete plan and schedule for things and His time is not our time. He told us in 2 Peter 3:8 "But do not forgot this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." 

While we are waiting for Jesus to come again, we may struggle on whether God is testing our patience or we have done something wrong so God is withholding His blessing to us. 2 Peter 3:9 said "The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." Remember! God's timing is different from ours, we should have faith in Him and trust that He is working for the best to us!

Father, thank you for fulfilling your every promise to us. Give us patience so that we can endure and resist the temptation from the evil. In Jesus's Holy name, Amen!
