In James Chapter 5, the author told us about the power of prayer. He quoted Elijah as an example and said Elijah and us are human being, Elijah prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. After that he prayed again for rain to come down from heaven and so the earth produced its crops.
But in order to have a powerful and effective prayer, we need to confess our sins and turn away from them. James 5:16 "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." Sometimes our prayer "failed" and it is time for us to reflect ourselves if we did something wrong or ask God if it falls under His plan or not.
After righteous, we need God's "good to go"!
Lord, thank you for sending Spirit to teach us how to pray. May you bless us to have an Angel army to stand with us and pray with us so that we can hold fast to your words. Amen!
