in order to arouse others' interest in talking to you? It is hard to be honest and faithful to others all the time, especially when the world tells us it is acceptable to tell "white lies". There are thousand of reasons to tell lies, but God see all the things through!
NIV Matthew 5:37 "All you need to say is simply "Yes" or "No", anything beyond this comes from the evil one." God tells us not only not to be a nosy person, but also to speak the truth.
Another important thing to note is that what we say is a reflection of what we think in our mind! NIV Matthew 12:34 "You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." Be a mature Christian, control your tongue!

Dear heavenly father, thank you for giving us freedom to speak. Give us Godly wisdom so that we can control our tongue and mind, not to sin against you. Amen!
