Lord, teach us to number our days.

NIV Psalm 90:12 Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom

There are numerous verses in the bible mentioning we are foreigners and strangers on the earth. Our days on earth are like a shadow, we live temporarily here before returning to God. We don't know how long will we still live and some people try hard to live as long as possible by taking supplementary and adopting a healthier lifestyle. 

In NIV Psalm 90:12, Moses said "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom". Life is short in human's eyes, but we are occupied by many stuff besides God. We need God's teaching for how to live for God to glorify His name and live a meaningful life.

Father, thank you for breathing in us to make us alive. Give us godly wisdom so that we can learn how to arrange, plan and manage our days to live a meaningful life that pleases you. Amen!
