NIV Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
It is normal for us to feel desperate when we have been given a challenging task to do. We may tell others: The enemy in front of us looks too strong for us to beat or the mountain in front of us looks too high for us to climb. But if the task is given by God, it will never be too hard for us to complete.
In NIV Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." God encouraged Joshua to take up Moses' role after his death and lead the Israelites to the promised land Canaan. With God, we can do anything as instructed!
Lord, thank you for your encouragement. Help us to be strong and courageous enough to take up the tasks you have assigned to us. We know that with you, you can do anything as instructed. We prayed in Jesus' Holy Name, Amen!
