Let's respond to our callings and join God's beautiful plan!

NIV Esther 4:14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?

When God calls us to do something, will you obey His instruction? In the bible, people had various responses. Today, we will look at the beautiful queen Esther's story, but before that, it is interesting to note Jonah's story. Jonah resisted following God's calling and he intended to flee from God's instructed place. Even though Jonah disobeyed God's instruction, He will have His way to accomplish His purposes. After hiding and seeking, Jonah repented to God and he was forgiven by our merciful God. Jonah's rebellious resulted in hardship and delay.

Back to Esther, she was a queen of Persia but she was indeed a Jew. But then Haman was enraged by her uncle Mordecai as he did not kneel down or pay him honor. Haman wanted to destroy the Jews and so Mordecai rushed to see Esther and said in NIV Esther 4:14 "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" God has a complete planning for Esther, He made her queen and gave her a chance to honor Him by saving the Jews. If Esther did nothing, God will use another person to accomplish His plan and she will lose the chance to glorify God. We all know that in the end, the beautiful queen won the battle because God was in control and He fought for her.

Lord, thank you for telling us we are not alone. You are the omnipresent God and you will fight every battle for us if we obey you. Help us to be more confident and faithful in you so that we can participate in your plan to glorify you. Amen!
