You, Lord, reign forever!

NIV Lamentations 5:19 You, Lord, reign forever, your throne endures from generation to generation.

Out of faith, when Jeremiah was sad for the current situation, he still praised God in NIV Lamentations 5:19 "You, Lord, reign forever, your throne endures from generation to generation."

Sometimes God will allow suffering to complete His plan, and He promises us that He will be with us throughout the storm. What we need to do is to trust Him and be faithful. Jeremiah sought God's comfort in the worst of times and had hope in God for His eternity.

Father, thank you for your faithfulness. You will never forsake us and will fight every battle for us. Protect us from dwelling in sadness during sufferings and help us understand your plan for us. We prayed in Jesus' Holy Name, Amen!
