NIV Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
When we are having a hard time or suffering from an illness, it is easy for us to lose hope. But Jesus taught us in NIV Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” If we have faith, no matter how small it is, we can trust Jesus will move the mountain on our behalf.
Of course, it is a parable. But faith is so important when we have a tough time. With faith, we can pray and leave our burden with Jesus. We will enjoy the innermost peace with God and have a brand new start every day. When we grow with faith, God will give us the strength and ability to cope with the problems.
Father, thank you for giving us faith, hope, and love. Even though we may not see any hope in our lives, you are working around the clock and we can be confident in what we hope for and assure about what we do not see. Help us continue to live in Christ and be faithful all the time. We prayed in Jesus' victorious name, Amen.
