NIV Proverbs 4:10 Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.
King Solomon asked his sons to listen to his words in NIV Proverbs 4:10 "Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many." If they follow God's instructions and search for Godly wisdom, God will bless them to have a long life.
Even though Solomon gained Godly wisdom from God and acted on God's favors, he fell into a trap to worship idols when he was old. God still treated him well because he is David's son. And verses in the book of Chronicles told us that Solomon's descendants disobeyed God was not blessed by Him and only reigned for a very short period.
Father, thank you for your blessing in life. It is your grace on us that we can breathe and live every day. Without you, we are nothing. Help us to obey your commands and walk in you. In Jesus' name, Amen!
