Pray and love for your enemies!

NIV Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

When it comes to the power of forgiveness, Jesus has shown us how it works in the bible. When Jesus was about to be executed, He asked God to forgive those who crucified Him. NIV Luke 23:34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up His clothes by casting lots. Forgiveness comes from love, including self-love and love for others to be precise.

NIV Matthew 5:44 "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.", the Apostle Paul's words reminded us of Jesus' early teaching on forgiveness. Out of love, Jesus asked God to forgive those people who prosecuted Him. Out of love, Jesus died for our sins. And out of love, we can now live in Christ!

Father, thank you for your forgiveness on us. Teach us how to love others and forgive those who have hurt us before. We know that if we forgive others, you will forgive us when we repent to you. In Jesus' name, Amen!
