NIV Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

God allows us to have the freedom to live in the world through Jesus' salvation. We can choose to act on our will or follow God's instructions. In the past, we could not resist the temptation of the flesh, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can have the self-control needed to fight against sinful thoughts.

The Apostle Paul said in NIV Romans 8:6 "The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace." We often hear people say "Do good and be nice to yourself." But when we lot our mind be controlled by the flesh, we will indulge in temporary happiness and success to satisfy our flesh needs. If we continue to do so, we will reject to listen to the Holy Spirit's warnings to walk with God. Remember, eternal life with God is our final destination. Refrain from sinning against God for temporary fulfillment on the earth.

Father, thank you for granting us the freedom to live. Help us to resist the temptation of the flesh and listen to Holy Spirit's little voice for your guidance of life. We prayed in your son's Holy Name, Amen!
