Grow up with spiritual maturity!

NIV 1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 

Do to others what you would have them do to you!

NIV Matthew 7:12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Having said that like attracts like and it has been a golden rule that "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" If you want to have a warm welcome from others, you should give out the welcome to others first. It is always more blessed to give than to take, be the initiator and take the lead!

Still remember when I was small, I was too shy to talk to others. But deep down my heart, I craved for others' attention. NIV Matthew 7:12 "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." taught me that in order to have somebody to talk to me, I should speak up first. With God's encouragement, I started my first conversation with Hi to the little Jane sitting next to me, she smiled back and said Hi to me. How amazing it is! Indeed, this verse has a deeper insight for us, if we think the intended action is detrimental to ourselves, then we should not do that to others. We need to be considerate to others and treat others as if others treat us.

Lord, thank you for telling us how we should act in order to earn your favour. Guide us with Godly wisdom and Holy Spirit to act righteous and just to others. Teach us to be considerate and generous to others. Amen.

May God give us peace at all times and in every way.

See, I am doing a new thing!

The Lord is my helper!

NIV Hebrews 13:6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?"

Live by faith!

NIV 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we live by faith, not by sight. 

Heal me, Lord!

NIV Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed, save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. 

Do not wear yourself out to get rich!

NIV Proverbs 23:4 Do not wear yourself out to get rich, do not trust your own cleverness.

Be generous and give back to God!

NIV Psalm 112:5 Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs and justice 

Give thanks to the LORD!

NIV 1 Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Guard your heart!

NIV Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Stay away from Idolatry!

NIV Exodus 20:23 Do not make any gods to be alongside me, do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

Do not deceive yourselves!

NIV 1 Corinthians 3:18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become "fools" so that you may become wise.

Wait for the gift our Heavenly Father promised!

NIV Acts 1:4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command; "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about."

Fruit of the Spirit

NIV Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Submit to God to resist devil.

NIV James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Seek God with all your heart!

NIV Psalm 119:10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. 

With Him, we can doing anything!

NIV Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.

Reborn in God!

NIV Matthew 16:25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

Let joy of the LORD be our strength!

NIV Nehemiah 8:10 Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is Holy to our LORD. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."

God has plans to prosper us!

NIV Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Confess!

NIV James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Everything will be judged by God at the end of our life!

NIV Luke 8:17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.

God is watching over us all the time!

NIV Psalm 121:8 The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Learn from sadness and pain!

NIV Ecclesiastes 7:2 It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of everyone, the living should take this to heart.

Give to everyone what you owe them!

NIV Romans 13:7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

God never fails!

NIV 2 Chronicles 20:22 As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.

God has its own plan and time on us.

NIV 2 Peter 3:8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 

Have strong faith in God!

NIV Hebrew 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
