The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent!

NIV John 6:29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

The non-believers saw the miracle Jesus did, they asked Jesus what shall they do to work the works of God? And in NIV John 6:29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” For non-believers, what they need to do is to believe in Jesus' words.

But for us as Christians, what we need to do to work the works of God? The answer is the same, to believe in Jesus. The son of God came from Heaven down to the Earth and sacrificed for our sins. We need to continue His work to preach Gospel to the non-believers and bring them back to God. Therefore, we should not sin against God and if we did, we need to repent to God.

Lord, thank you for your patience with us. You are merciful and faithful that you have sent your Son to save us from sin. Help us learn from Jesus and work the works you have planned for our life. We prayed in Jesus' name, Amen!
