NIV Jeremiah 6:16 This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it."
As Christians living in the year 2021, I can say we are very blessed. We have the bible with us, and we can read the story and reminders on how God guides and grows His people in the past. NIV Jeremiah 6:16 This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it."
As Jeremiah said, God has shown us different ancient paths and the good way to walk in. When we are on the right track, we can enjoy the innermost peace with God and no need to struggle with our flesh and deal with problems using human efforts. But in Jeremiah's story, people chose not to follow God's commands, will you do the same or you will listen to God's words and learn from the bible's stories?
Lord, thank you for guiding us through when we are standing at the crossroads. Give us clear confirmations on the right path to walk in so that we can find rest for our souls. In Jesus' Holy Name we prayed, Amen!
