Forgive and let go!

NIV Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Forgive and let go! Well, it is easy to say than done. Forgive the person who has wronged us is a tough task and indeed one of the lifelong lessons for us to learn. Bitterness, anger, wrath, shouting, and slander stir up our hearts if we let the resentment grow.

But Jesus kept on teaching us the power of forgiveness in the bible. NIV Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. When Jesus was hung on the cross, He prayed to God and said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." He sacrificed Himself for our sins at the cross and asked for God's forgiveness for those people who accused Him.

Heavenly Father, thank you for forgiving our sins. Through Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection at the cross, we are saved and forgiven for our sins. Help us forgive others with love and be more like Jesus. We prayed in Jesus' victorious name, Amen!
