Do the right things!

NIV Proverbs 21:3 To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Sometimes, we fall into a trap that we can do something to fix our wrongdoings. Yes, if we sin against God, we need to repent to Him and because of Jesus' resurrection and God's grace, we are forgiven. But God's love and mercy on us can't be our excuses to not do the right things. We need to be cautious that every sin bears its consequence!

People burn offerings or offer expensive sacrifices to God and think that they can earn His favor. They think God will give them the blessing according to the value of sacrifice or they can cover up their sins because of their offerings. Indeed, they are deceiving themselves. NIV Proverbs 21:3 To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. God does not need anything except our submission to Him! A righteous heart worth more than expensive offerings.

Lord, thank you for your teaching. You are merciful and righteous, and your grace is sufficient for us. Help us to do the right things and walk in Christ so that we can glorify your name. In Jesus' name, we prayed. Amen!
