Lord, protect us from the evil one!

                                         

NIV John 17:15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

When people around us keep letting us down or wronging us, we may pray to God and hope God either let us go or send the people away from us. Maybe we just need some fresh air to breathe in or we need to escape from the situation to avoid conflicts. But merciful God always wants us to grow in spiritual maturity and rely on Him rather than ourselves.

Jesus' prayer for us is to live in the world but set apart ourselves from the temptation of the evils. Seeking God's will for us whenever we are weak can strengthen our faith and trust in Him.

Heavenly Father, thank you for encouraging us and giving us the strength to endure the hardship in our lives. Deliver us from the evil one and give us Godly wisdom when making decisions in our lives. We prayed in Jesus' victorious name, Amen!
