Live for the Lord!

NIV Romans 14:8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 

In the book of Genesis, we saw Abraham and Sarah had longed for a son for many years. They could not wait for God to fulfill His promise but use human solutions to give birth to Ishmael. But faithful God forgave their sins and let them have a son Isaac. Issac then prayed for 20 years for his wife Rebekah to give birth to his twins. Their son Jacob repeated Abraham's old story by sleeping with Bilhah to give birth to Dan and Naphtali. These stories reminded us one important thing-God is the one to give life.

After knowing that our life is from God, then it is easy for us to understand the meaning of our life. NIV Romans 14:8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

Father Lord, thank you for breathing in our life. With Jesus' resurrection, we can now live in Christ. Our life is from you and we should live upon Jesus' salvation. Help us walk with Christ and to live for you. Amen!
