Hope from the Mountains

Life can be frustrating sometimes.

The weather is not great, traffic gets jammed, and sometimes we even miss a chance just because of a small, silly mistake.

It is easy to feel a bit annoyed… or even discouraged.

But in moments like this, my friend reminded me to look up. Not at the problems, but beyond them.
Because my help does not come from everything going right, it comes from God, the One who made heaven and earth.

Even when things feel messy, He is still steady.

Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV):

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.”

Storm can be scary, but with Jesus being the centre of our life, we can stand firm and hold fast to His promise. Cast our eyes onto Him and we won't be shaken by the things happen in life.

When I was travelling from Genoa to La speciza, my friend suddenly felt sick and when we checked the train schedule, it's already too late to get another train except the 2.5 hours one. We kept on praying and trusting God will protect us from further delay and sickness.

With a near miss of train platform, we finally arrived our hotel at 12:45am. We did struggle and try to find a "way out" for ourselves when things did not go our way. But if we continue to place our trust onto Him, life starts to change. Amen!
